may be the most essential utility that folks
usually use to know what are happening in their computer since it is
already installed into the system and provides necessary information of
the machine. However, there are some tasks it can’t do such as provide
the information of execute file of a running process or differentiate a
normal process from a system one. Anvir
Task Manager is a nice
replacement for extra tasks you want.
Anvir
Task Manager gives
you more controls over processes. It is surprisingly that there are
many features available even you are using free version of Anvir Task
Manager. Tasks are group in tabs in order to make it easy
to manage
processes.
Once installed, there will be two icons appear in the
system tray. Point your mouse over it, you will get the basic
information of your computer’s activities like running processes, disk
usages, CPU
usages...
To manage processes which run on startup,
click on the Startup
tab. You will see the list of processes in the
right panel. To delete one entry, simply select it and press Del.
In
the Application
tab, running application will be shown with usual
information such as name, running status, etc. To view more detail,
double clicks on the application you want, all information of that
application will appear below and are classified into many categories
like Files
– files and folder of the application, DLL – DLL files
which
were registered for the application, Drivers – drivers
used by the
application, etc.
Processes
tab provides information quite
similar to Application
tab, but this is for process. You may see detail
information about a process like files, dll, drivers, etc.
The
last tab in free version is Services
tab. All available services on
your system will appear in the grid with their name, state,
description, and security risk. To change the startup status of a
service, right click on one, then Change
Startup Type and select a
state you want.
While running, Anvir
Task Manager may consume a
bit resource of your computer for its efficient features. It is pretty
handy when to want to optimize your computer for startup processes or
analyze for a security risk.
