How To Backup Your Firefox Profile Settings Without Using Any Utility

There are more than one way to backup your profile setting in Firefox and other applications from Mozilla. In most cases, we have to use third party utilities or addons, so why Mozilla does not allow us this essential feature?

Maybe they has been hit with many questions, comments and even complains such as my question above (it is just in my mind, and I am not sure that story is whether true or not), the new improvements come in the version 3.6 include backup feature.
