Say Hi To Firefox 3 And Say Goodbye To Firefox 2

There is news that Mozilla will kill Firefox 2.0 soon and stop support for this famous browser. Firefox 2.0 users will get a notification to update to version 3.0 in the next couple of days.

The latest version for Firefox 2.0 is 2.0.0.18, that’s pretty a long time for a safest and fast grown browser. Version 2.0 supports more add-ons and enhances the speed, security from version 1.5. It brings users the safest, fastest and most convenient way to surf the web. Many famous websites write add-ons to run in Firefox like Google (Google Toolbar), Digg, StumbleUpon, Del.icio.us…

One of the main obstacles that users don’t want to upgrade to version 3.0 is the incompatible of their using add-on to this new Firefox version. In the first days of Firefox 3.0, there are so many favorite add-ons couldn’t run well or even made errors (e.g. FasterFox, FireTune,…). But now, after months, most companies and developers have updated their add-ons and most favorite add-ons now can run well in Firefox 3.0

Mozilla intends to lead users to use their Firefox 3.1 (this means Firefox 2.0 still live until the final version for Firefox 3.1 is released). This latest version includes TraceMonkey - the JavaScript engine which enhances the speed of processing JavaScript code.

However, Firefox 3.1 is still in beta development. If you want a stable version, Firefox 3.0 is a right choice now. It provides many enhance features to version 2.0:
  • Improve performance: You can view web pages faster and use less of your computer’s memory.
  • Full Zoom: you can see any part of a web page, up close and readable, in seconds. (Firefox 2.0 just can zoom the text only)
  • Instant Web Site ID: avoid online scams, unsafe transactions and forgeries with simple site identity.
Latest version always brings us the stability, the security and the convenience. You should upgrade your browser now, and not only your browser, but also your antivirus, your email client etc.
