In this multimedia era, every seems to come in higher quality, more beautiful and of course it needs to disk space. If you are a ‘downloadaholic’, you may frequently see the alerts that you are running out of disk space. The simplest way to resolve this is to buy a new hard disk.
However, in case you don’t feel the need of a new hard disk and just want to remove some redundant folders, Disktective may be your assistant. It will display files and folders in a specific location including information and pie chart about the disk space they take.
Once launched, you are asked to enter the location to see the report. Next, the utility will scan and get the necessary information. The process may take minutes and it relies on the space of your location.
Then, you can see the tree of file/folder in the entered location with the size. And in the right pane, you can also see the pie chart of folders in the entered location.
Finally, you can choose which file/folder that contains most space and you find it unnecessary to remove.
