Awesome Firefox Add-ons For Twitter

With the effectiveness and ease of Twitter API, there are more Twitter clients come to the market day by day. However, the number of people use browser to tweet is still the biggest. It is absolutely convenient because you don’t have to leave your browser to tweet. These are useful Firefox add-ons to enhance your tweets.

Snowl

Snowl is still in testing process; however it’s worth to try. You can use it to receive tweets from multiple Twitter accounts and reply or “favorite” tweets. Besides, it can be a light weight RSS/Atom feed reader which support OPML import and export.

TwitterFox

TwitterFox, formerly known as Twitter Notifier, is an awesome add-on. It just shows a small blue balloon in the right bottom of Firefox window to notify new arriving tweets. When you click on the icon, it shows you the recent tweets in categories like Recent, Replies, Messages. You can also retweet by right click on a tweet and choose Retweet. I love this feature.

Twitkit

Twitkit is also a Twitter sidebar for Firefox. It supports basic needs of a tweeter like receive tweets, reply, direct message. There’s only one thing is more significant: you can view your follows and followers.

If you like to tweet right in Twitter website, Power Twitter is an ideal add-on for you. It adds necessary and convenient features to Twitter website like showing the thumbnails instead of TwitPic links, retweet links (just click on the link RT in every tweet to retweet like you do in Twhrl or TweetDesk).

Twitzer

Twitzer allows you to tweet more than 140 characters. If your tweet is too long, it will truncate your tweet and add a link shortext.com/xxxx at the end of the tweet. The recipients just click on that link to read the full text. Besides, it also reveals the TinyUrl links to real links.
