I usually used Photoshop to pick color (to be honest, it was my habit) and you might think it was a foolish way. However, I would agree with you that Photoshop is not a cool application to pick color although it’s a great image processor especially when I’ve started using Just Color Picker. Instead of capture the screen then zoom it and pick the color in Photoshop, you can do this just with a click. And the picked color value is available in various types: HTML, RGB, HEX, HSL that might obviously handy and efficient in cases you are working with different kinds of project. You can zoom up to 15x on any screen area and save picked colors for future use. You then can find similar colors, using color wheel and adjust the contrast of picked color.
